This is where volunteers that have been trained by Story Workshop give individual advice, talk encouragement and counselling in door to door visits. In the past year there were 1800 volunteers in 60 areas in 10 districts in Malawi dealing with issues of PMTCT. This proved to be a very successful approach where over 256,000 individuals were reached and follow ups were made on their decisions and potential behaviour change. In this project over 10,000 families were also reached as families in one year. After quarterly assessment, selected volunteers get small monetary awards.
