Where Can We Help You

The Story Workshop Educational Trust (SWET)

SWET is a development communication NGO founded in 1998 by an American woman, Pamela Brooke, as a social and behavioural change communication organisation using Mass media (radio, film, community cinema, print and social media) Interpersonal communication (such as door to door and counselling approaches) and community and social mobilization as its core platforms. With over 20 years of existence, SWET uses an integrated approach to community empowerment and development. It works largely within the thematic areas of food security, sexual reproductive health and rights; family planning, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and health, gender, good governance and economic inclusion and has built itself as the leading organisation in Social and Behavioural change communication (SBCC) in Malawi. Story Workshop has a solid background in linking awareness, advocacy, and community mobilisation to facilitate social and behaviour change.
